Cultural arts coordinators with the Town of Danville are inviting San Ramon Valley residents to 233 Front Street this week as the Village Theatre and Art Gallery launches its late-autumn juried visual art exhibition and November performing arts schedule. Housed in a restored 1913 civic building originally constructed as the Danville Grange Hall, the dual theater-and-gallery complex serves as the municipally operated cultural anchor of Danville's Old Town historic district.

Inside the sunlit front art gallery, curators and the Danville Arts Advisory Board have assembled more than forty oil, acrylic, printmaking, and sculptural works by Bay Area artists exploring seasonal California landscapes and architectural geometry. Gallery admission remains free to the public Wednesday through Saturday, and participating curators are hosting informal Friday afternoon gallery chats and school-group art appreciation tours throughout late October and November 2026.

Steps away inside the intimate 220-seat Village Theatre auditorium, the town's performing arts staff has scheduled a full slate of youth musical theater rehearsals, acoustic chamber concerts, comedy evenings, and family matinee film screenings. Recent acoustic and stage-lighting upgrades funded by the Danville Town Council have enhanced sightlines and sound clarity for both community theater troupes and visiting regional ensembles.

Downtown merchants along Front Street, Hartz Avenue, and Prospect Avenue noted that evening performances and weekend gallery receptions draw steady dining patronage to neighboring cafés and bistros. Residents can view the exhibition catalog, reserve theater tickets, or sign up for youth drama workshops online at danville.ca.gov/arts or by calling the box office at (925) 314-3467.
