With shortened autumn daylight hours and November rainstorms approaching the San Ramon Valley, transportation planners at County Connection and the Town of Danville are encouraging families to take advantage of the agency's dedicated 600-series school transit routes serving Danville's middle and high school campuses. Operated by the Central Contra Costa Transit Authority in partnership with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (SRVUSD) and the TraFix congestion-relief program, the supplemental bus network is timed directly to morning arrival and afternoon dismissal bells.

In Danville, 600-series coaches provide direct neighborhood connections along Diablo Road, Camino Tassajara, Sycamore Valley Road, El Cerro Boulevard, and Danville Boulevard to San Ramon Valley High School, Monte Vista High School, Charlotte Wood Middle School, Los Cerros Middle School, and Diablo Vista Middle School. Town of Danville traffic engineers noted to the Town Council that each fully loaded forty-foot transit coach removes up to thirty-five single-family drop-off vehicles from congested school zones during peak 7:45 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. commute windows.

County Connection's autumn ridership push follows a Joint Legislative Audit Committee review earlier in 2026 that recognized Central Contra Costa Transit Authority operations for route efficiency and coordinated regional scheduling across East Bay suburban corridors. All 600-series coaches feature front-mounted bicycle racks, real-time GPS arrival tracking compatible with the Transit smartphone app, and Youth Clipper Card fare integration.

Families across Danville, Blackhawk, and Diablo can review stop-by-stop 600-series route timetables, apply for discounted Youth Clipper cards, or check rainy-day bell schedule adjustments online at countyconnection.com or by calling County Connection customer service at (925) 676-7500.
